The other day, it was my co-workers who were asking about how to increase brain power. And now, it’s my parents who want to get in on the secret.

Again, it all goes back to my getting a promotion at work. When I told my parents about it, I mentioned how much better I’ve been performing at work since I started taking Constant Focus. Of course, they’re a little bit older, so this sounded strange to them. The whole concept of brain fitness and brain support supplements didn’t make sense to them at first.

Then, I showed them the brain power website. I let them read some of the different research on brain exercises and memory enhancers. After reading through it for a little while, I could see it was all starting to make sense to them. They finally started to see that your brain needs good nutrition and exercise too.

Well, that day they went ahead and ordered some Constant Focus. Now, they’ve both started taking these pills, and I can’t wait to see the results. They’re also doing little brain fitness exercises to keep their minds sharp. When I went to their house the other day, they were both in the middle of doing crossword puzzles. Apparently, it’s something they try to do every day now.

As a loving son, I’m so happy to see my parents focusing on mental health. It definitely gives me hope that they’ll stay healthy and mentally sharp as they continue to get older. And at the end of the day, that’s all that really matters. It’s never too late or too early to start exercising your mind.

Speaking of exercise, I think I should probably play some brain games before I go to bed.

increase brain power

Everyone Wants to Know My Brain Power Secret

If you read my last post, you know that I got a promotion at work. Well, since that news has spread throughout the office, everyone is asking me how I did it. And since I’m not one to keep a secret, I told them to visit the brain power website.

At first, everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Here I was talking about brain fitness and how to prevent short term memory loss, and they’re looking at me like I’m nuts. But after I showed them the website and had them read some of the articles on there, they started to understand what I was saying. Now, they know that the brain is just like any muscle in the body. You have to give it the right nutrients and regular exercise to keep it strong.

Right now, a few of them are reading through the product reviews to see if they can find a brain supplement right for their needs. It’s funny. Next thing you know, everyone in the office is going to be highly focused and more efficient than ever before. Now how am I going to stand out from the crowd to get another promotion? Maybe I shouldn’t have told them about brain power after all! I’m kidding of course.

I just hope everyone is able to stick with their brain fitness regimen. It’s just like a diet; you have to commit to it fully if you want it to work. You can’t just take the supplements or do the exercises every once in a while when you feel like it. It’s all about dedication.

Anyway, I’m going to keep telling everyone I know about how to increase brain power. It really is something that can change your life.

Constant Focus Results

Is Constant Focus Responsible for My Promotion at Work?

I think all of the brain fitness exercises and Constant Focus pills are starting to really pay off. I got a promotion today at work! I’m seriously in shock right now. I thought my boss didn’t even notice me, and now I find out that not only has he noticed me but he also thinks I’ve been doing a heck of a job.

So, let me start back at the beginning of this morning when it all went down. The work day started just like any other. I came in around 7:50; sat down at my computer and read through all the new emails; then I started working on a project I’ve been doing for the past week or so. Well, around 8:30 or so, I get a call from my boss saying he wants to see me in his office. Obviously, my first thoughts were “Oh no! What did I do wrong?” I mean, my boss has never asked to see me before.

Well, I walk into his office unsure of what my fate is. Next thing I know, he’s talking about how consistently great my work is and how he wishes he had more people like me. He says that he never sees me slack off, and that I never make any silly mistakes. Based on all of that, he feels I’m ready to take on more responsibilities. Lucky for me, those added responsibilities come with a higher pay rate!

Without a doubt, I owe all of this success to Constant Focus and the brain games I’ve been following. See, I wasn’t always a great worker. Like others, I’d crash after lunch, and I’d have difficulty staying focused on my projects. But now, I’m able to stay focused all day long. Not only does this help me do my job better, but I’ve also found that it makes the work day just fly by. No longer am I just sitting there watching the clock move oh so slowly to 5 PM.

Now, it’s time to celebrate my promotion!

Brain Power

Brain Power Website is a Must Read

This might sound like an exaggeration, but I came across a website today that could seriously change my life forever. The website is called brain power. Like the name says, it’s all about how to increase your brain power. Seriously, when I landed on this site, I spent hours going through every page. It’s that interesting.

The website is divided into several different sections. For instance, one of the sections is all about how to increase brain power. It gives different exercises you can do as well as recommends which brain supplements to take. See, the way this website explains it—your brain is just like any muscle. You have to make sure it gets proper nutrition and regular exercise to help it stay in shape.

I’ve already started doing many of the exercises they recommend. Simple things like crossword puzzles and truly engaging in deep conversations are supposed to help your brain get a work out. Apparently, if you don’t do any exercise, your brain weakens over time, leading to forgetfulness and other mental conditions.

But my favorite brain exercise so far is doing things with your opposite hand. I’m right handed. These exercises recommend that I try eating or brushing my teeth with my left hand. It sounds simple enough, right? Well, it’s not so easy. You find that you really have to focus when using the opposite hand. And that’s the whole point--to make your brain actually spring into action during normal exercises where it would normally be on autopilot.

But exercising your brain doesn’t have to be boring. The website also recommends many different brain games to play. Speed coordination games, puzzles and word games all help stimulate new cells in your brain. It’s really pretty interesting when you think about it.
If I keep up all these brain exercises, maybe my mind will be the equivalent of Sylvester Stallone’s arms!

MemoProve – Too costly for Seniors

I recently found out that my mother, who has been having similar memory loss and concentration problems that I have, has been taking a product called MemoProve. Now, I am not certain as to if this issue is largely due to the fact that she is in her late fifties or her own daily stresses, but she turned to the product and has been taking it for some time.

I informed her about Constant Focus but she has told me that she feels fine on MemoProve, however, when I was visiting with her just the other day; she misplaced her car keys and her glasses? Is this stuff really effective? I decided to look MemoProve up and do some consumer research. Surprise, surprise. I found that most people who tried it didn’t feel it was all that useful to them. Another interesting fact is that the doctor from NIMH, Thomas H. Cook III, who glows with praise about MemoProve on the products website works for the company.

One can’t say this is a fair and impartial endorsement.

The pills will cost roughly $600 dollars a year too -- pretty steep for retirees and seniors on a fixed income. Most of the people who got burned by MemoProve were telling people to invest in vitamin supplements like Ginkgo Biloba and Omega 3’s – I wonder what they would think if I was able turn them on to using Constant Focus.

People who suffer from memory loss have enough to contend with—getting ripped off by using an ineffective mental enhancement product like Memoprove shouldn’t be one of them. But mom, she’s a loyalist—it takes a lot to make her switch sides – sad thing is, when I mentioned her forgetting her keys she barely recalled doing that…

I think she’ll enjoy using Constant Focus a lot more but I need to dig a bit deeper to make mom see reason…

Check it out: http://www.constantfocus.com/

Saved by Constant Focus

Constant Focus has surpassed my expectations! I am not even exaggerating when I say that it is absolutely incredible. They site states it will take a while for the capsules to work, but I found my memory and concentration greatly improving rather quickly.

For example, I had a really killer test that I passed with flying colors. Not only did studying pay off; I didn’t feel I had to strain as hard to recall the answers.

I almost heard the Hallelujah Chorus start up as I handed in my test paper.

I am hardly one of those types of guys that walk around sounding like a commercial, but I would definitely recommend Constant Focus to anyone who had problems like ADHD or stress related memory problems.

In fact, I have told a few of my buds who were having issues similar to mine about it. Most of them are in the same boat as me, juggling work and school. With so much going on, it is little wonder so many of us have hard time concentrating

One friend asked if she could have a couple of capsules to try. Not to be mean, but I was like, no way!

I am not giving up one precious Constant Focus pill.

I did however give her the Constant Focus URL so she could order her own bottle!

Who knows, I may have started a movement.

Ordered Constant Focus Today

I ordered Constant Focus today and I must say I have never had a more pleasant customer service experience.

Not only were there several ordering options on the site, there was a 1-800 number where you could contact a live human being for assistance.

Well, it just so happened that I did need help.

I tried ordering Constant Focus online and had a few issues. Wasn’t sure if it was my error or my browser, but my credit card info kept showing up as invalid.

I looked up the number that was available on the Constant Focus site and spoke with a very friendly representative who walked me through the process.

I ordered only one bottle to start with. I figure if it works, I will definitely order more.

It wasn’t too expensive, in fact, at $49.95 a bottle, Constant Focus is cheaper than some of the more popular mental enhancement products on the market.

I also decided to place a rush order on Constant Focus so I can receive it in the next couple of days!

I am so looking forward to getting back on track, and I know for a fact that few of my equally stressed and brain fogged friends are interested in the outcome as well.

Constant Focus

I have been searching for a proven memory enhancer to help me concentrate. I looked into some of the more popular brain supplements that claim to enhance memory, but I wasn’t comfortable with some of the reviews.

Others had stimulants in them that make you crash several hours after taking them. I have also found that these memory enhancers induce foggy thinking after prolonged use, at least for me.

I recently ran across a memory enhancer called Constant Focus, and I must say, my hopes are up a bit. I spoke with Sandra who did a little research into Constant Focus and she was very impressed. She even told me that she felt it may be the most viable product we ran across yet.

Another huge selling point was the fact that the Constant Focus ingredients are a natural herbal mixture, with proven components that are specifically created to provide your brain with the nutrients it needs, aiding concentration and short term memory. No harmful chemical stimulants are included in the Constant Focus formula.

I am leaning towards rush ordering Constant Focus just to see if it helps with my memory loss and inability to focus. The money back guarantee will make my trial risk free, so it may be a good deal…

I get paid this Friday, so I’ll more than likely order it then…

Why I Wont Take Vaxa Attend

A homeopathic supplement called Attend by Vaxa is purported to be the herbal alternative to a lot of the medicines given to ADHD patients to curb symptoms of the disorder.

When I discovered Vaxa Attend during yet another online search, the fact that it was considered homeopathic certainly piqued my interest.

So, I decided to look into Vaxa Attend ingredients and Vaxa Attend reviews in one sitting.

Claiming a 70 percent success rate with children, I couldn’t find any information on how Vaxa Attend helps adults. It also said that it has no known side effects—a great thing if the product also worked for adults, a fact that isn’t necessarily a given.

I had a hard time locating a Vaxa Attend ingredients list and after a while, I gave up. I mean, I do after all, have ADD. Besides, it shouldn’t be this hard to locate basic information.

From what I could glean, most Vaxa Attend reviews were in relations to how it performed with children. Call me paranoid, but I really don’t want to take medicine designed for a child’s system—I want something that is specifically for adults.

I ran into this problem quite a bit while trying to locate a herbal medication for ADD. It appears that anything that seemed as if it would remotely work was formulated for kids—it’s as if the scientific community forgets that adults suffer from ADHD as well.
But I am not giving up—my herbal remedy is just around the corner, I know it!

Frightening Lucidal Facts

I am like a dog with a bone when it comes to getting precisely what I want and this dogged determination is what led me to a site for a memory enhancer called Lucidal.

The claims and testimonials were rather grandiose, so I decided to take a look at the ingredients list. A red flag went up when it took me a while to locate this list. Another red flag went up when the Lucidal ingredients finally popped up and was barely decipherable. It was as if they had taken a picture of the pill bottle and posted it on the site in an effort to lend credibility to their product.

The tried and true tactic of hiding information in plain sight -- pretty clever.

I decided to do some independent research outside of the Lucidal site and found a number of negative Lucidal reviews.

There was even an alarming indication that some Lucidal ingredients actually contributed to high blood pressure in some individuals.

The most common complaint was that Lucidal simply did not work, period.

These Lucidal reviews were enough to let me know that I should steer clear of this potentially dangerous, primarily ineffective memory enhancement product.

I know my search for an all-natural and effective ADHD treatment isn’t a wild goose chase, so why is it starting to feel like one…?

Focus Factor: What Scared Me Off

Ever hear of Focus Factor? I recently learned about it and initially, my hopes surged upwards as it was a said to be a proven mental enhancer—at least that is what the site claimed.

I was pretty stoked until I came upon an ADD forum where people like me were discussing some of the not so great side effects of Focus Factor use.

I decided to read a few of the threads on the subject and what I learned was shocking.

The focus factor reviews were largely negative, with most people saying it didn’t work well for them. Others claimed that Focus Factor ingredients made them ill or plagued them with harsh nasty side effects like nausea, mood swings, depression and gastrointestinal distress.

To make matters worse, these self same focus factor ingredients have not been clinically proven to enhance memory at all. I soon located another site that said that the creators of Focus Factor were being sued by consumers because the supposed Focus Factor free trial was bogus.

Like I always say—read the fine print. They probably hid some clause in their website stating that the free trial automatically enrolled you in some kind of Focus Factor membership plan where they a bill your account every month and send you another bottle of Focus Factor.

The sad thing is that there are a lot of companies doing just this sort of thing.

All I can say to that is caveat emptor – let the buyer beware.

A True Natural Treatment for ADHD Eludes Me

It’s been over a month since I was diagnosed with ADD and I still haven’t been able to run across a viable adhd alternative treatment yet.

I am almost starting to think there is some kind of pharmaceutical conspiracy going on (but maybe that is just the ADD talking).

Now, granted, I ran across a few sites that claimed to have a natural treatment for ADD, and quite a few that said they included herbs for adhd in their mixtures, but I found a few of them to be suspect.

That is because while many companies do offer herbs for adhd that, according to my research, do indeed work, their money back guarantees were either non-existent, or fraught with so many loop holes they might as well not have one. One site charged a “re-stocking fee” that was almost as much as the product itself. How is that a”full money back refund…?”

Remember, I am a lawyer, so I read the fine print of everything—call me anal, but it has saved me time and money.

The downside is that it will take me forever to find a natural treatment for ADD. Long term ramifications can be immense.
Some of the more commonly prescribed medicines can cause symptoms like restlessness or tremor; anxiety or nervousness; headache or dizziness; insomnia; dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in the mouth alongside diarrhea or constipation.
The one effect that struck me the most was that some medicines can even cause impotence or changes in sex drive.
I am a young man who is dating a really hot chick—like, no way!
This info made me all the more vigilant about locating natural remedies for ADHD.
I did manage to find a couple of sites that promoted the idea of coupling diet, exercises, supplements and daily outdoor activities with the taking of appropriate medicine. This was a wonderful concept; however, I do wish to find the appropriate natural treatment to counterbalance the other suggested treatments.Wow, can finding the correct ADHD help really be this hard?

ADHD and ADD - Not Just an Excuse for Bad Behavior

So, now it is official. I don’t have a thyroid issue (whew!), but I do have ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
Of course, one of the main symptoms of attention deficit disorder is the inability to concentrate, but there is more to the condition than that.
Some of the more common symptoms can include:
Anxiety and slight paranoia
Misplacing things quite often
Trouble staying organized
Chronically late or always in a hurry
Tendency to procrastinate
Moody and at times argumentative
A need to seek high stimulation activities
Tendency toward exaggerated outbursts
Transposing numbers, letters, words
Judging from the list, I may have had a form of ADHD, commonly known as ADD (the juvenile version), as a kid. Although that would be a bit difficult to ascertain, there are patterns consistent with that diagnosis.
Coming up with the ADD/ADHD connection in regards to my concentration problems wasn’t a one step process either—the doctor was very thorough. Testing occurred over a couple of weeks off and on, so I am sure I do have it.
We started talking about treatment options and there are a number of medicines on the market that can help with ADHD symptoms. I asked the doc about natural remedies and that is when I appeared to hit a brick wall.
At this juncture, I may have to look into all natural medicinal alternatives for attention deficit disorder on my own.

Brain Fog is Not a Joke!

With a few days left before my appointment, I decided to do some more research on memory related issues and their common causes. During my travels, I came across an article about diseases of the thyroid, hyper and hypo-thyroidism in particular.
Now, hyperthyroidism is when the thyroid over produces the thyroid hormone TSH, which can cause extreme weight and hair loss. Hypothyroidism is caused by an under functioning thyroid and is typified by an inability to lose weight, coupled with hair loss.
Both can produce what is called thyroid brain fog.
This made me wonder just what is brain fog? I mean, what goes on inside a healthy brain that makes it suddenly cease to retrieve information in a timely, coherent fashion…
Worst yet, what if I do have some sort of thyroid disease—I mean, I may not even have ADHD—or I could have both!
Man, this whole thing this is starting to turn me into a hypochondriac, cause now I am wondering if I have a thyroid problem—funny thing is, men don’t suffer from thyroid disease as often as women do, so that is highly unlikely.
Well, whatever the cause of my brain fog, I know I want to take holistic approach, especially after the Ambien scare. This made me wonder if there is an herbal treatment for brain fog…
One can hope…

Ambien causes memory loss? Wow!

I made an appointment with a doctor Sandra recommended to determine what the causes of my memory loss are. I hate going to doctors, but she managed to talk me into it after directing me to a few Internet websites regarding memory loss. I learned a lot about Adult Attention Deficit Disorder and also researched various other reasons for concentration and memory related issues.

During my research, I came upon a site that asked the question,” Does Ambien cause memory loss?”

The surprising answer? Yes!

It would appear that the sleep aid drug called Ambien has been tied to extreme short term memory loss in some patients. The drug, which is supposed to help people with chronic insomnia and sleeping problems, has appeared to cause more problems than it solved.

I was once briefly prescribed the drug, but didn’t take it for very long. Even so, I was dismayed to discover that it could cause memory loss. Also scary was that Ambien memory loss could be pretty profound.

I began to wonder if this was the key to my own short term memory loss.

The doctor I am going to see is a specialist in his field, so maybe he will be able to answer some of these burning questions.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://concentrationandfocus.blogspot.com/2007/09/ambien-causes-memory-loss-wow.html' title='Ambien causes memory loss? She is studying psychology and told me that she just did an assignment on adult attention deficiency disorder and that I could have this problem.

Now, I was aware of kid related ADD and had peripherally heard of ADHD, but just felt it was one of those made up things people came up with the excuse bad behavior.

But, from what she told me, it is a very real disorder.

Humph—my brain fog may actually be caused by something. I find this fact very comforting on some level—like I have identified the cause of my concentration problems.

She told me that next time she saw me, she would not only give me info concentration exercises (much needed) but further information on just how ADHD is diagnosed and subsequently controlled.

Y’know, at this point, I am willing to try just about anything (within the legal and ethical realms of course) to keep my grades up.

I’ll keep you posted…

Constantly Studying but Still Can't Focus

I am more than a little frustrated.

I barely passed the test I recently took!

Not to brag, but that is so unlike me. I mean, I got a scholarship based on my GPA. To be sure, every “A” was hard earned. I have always struggled to enhance memory issues that are based on, I dunno, a lack of discipline I suppose, but I always made amazing grades!

So, what happened?

Damnable brain fog once again. I have been studying! Heck, I have been studying on top of studying! Still, I can’t seem to retain anything.

I don’t think it is nervousness because I tend to ace tests when I am well prepared for them.

Could it be that my short term memory loss is being joined by occasional long term memory loss?

Is it getting worse?

The sad thing is, I am at a complete loss of how to improve memory—I don’t even know where to begin?

This sucks because I have a few more tests on the horizon and I am not sure if I will have the ability to focus long enough to get a good score on them.

Maybe I bit off more than I could chew with law school…

Anywayz, I have to go – more later…

Blew a Date

My constant brain fog is going to kill my social life!

I must have been whacked out of my mind to have missed out on an opportunity with Sandra Connelly!

Is this girl sexy? Well, at risk of being called out a bit, I have to say that she is the type of woman men fantasize about! She is fun, isn’t afraid to break a nail during an outing, and can be soft and feminine too.

I know, I know—every guys dream right?

So, I made a date with this awesome woman – and I forgot about it.

That’s right lady’s and gents, I stood up the potential mother of my children—Okay, maybe that w is a bit thick, but I still have to say that I am not very happy about it.

What is wrong with me? I am way too young to be suffering from short term memory loss.

Lately, I can’t seem to focus on anything. Between working part-time, school and study, I have no idea how I am gonna get through, especially if I can’t keep my memory functioning.

I must figure out a way to improve concentration or I am not going to make the semester.

To say I am bummed is putting it lightly – hopefully she’ll give me another chance—if I can remember where I put her number….

Constantly in Need of Focus

Law school.

As one would expect, it is pretty hard, but so far, I have loved the experience – well, until recently.

Why law school? I decided to go because my dad was an attorney and a very good one, before he died. Not to get all sappy about the carrying on family traditions, but I do believe one way to honor his memory is to get into the profession he loved.

You’re probably like, “Okay, and who is this guy?” My name is William “Bill” Cusak, I am reasonably attractive, smart, incredibly modest man, twenty something who is currently attending a noted institute of higher learning—and lately, I have been suffering from short term memory loss.

Can’t put my finger on it.

Sure, school is really rough and I am working a job to pay for books and incidentals, but I don’t think that alone could be the source of my concentration problems -- or could it?

Well, whatever the reason, I need to find a way to improve memory related issues, fast!

I once read about concentration exercises that were supposed to serve as a memory enhancer, but I can seem to, well, remember them…

Talk about your catch 22’s.

Well, I have to go; class starts in twenty minutes—tests no less! I just hope I can improve my memory problems soon so I don’t end up flunking out.

Pray for yours truly!
